Our Church This Week

The McKean Council of Churches will be sponsoring a “Prayer Tent Ministry” on Monday, August 30^th from 7:00AM to 7:00PM. As Christians, we believe in the power of prayer and, as such, we will be setting up a tent at the old car wash in McKean where anyone passing by is welcome to stop and we will have a word of prayer with them. We are inviting you to join with us in this ministry.

Center Circle meets on Wednesday, September 8^th at 7:30PM.

Looking Ahead

Adm. Council meets on Tuesday, September 7^th at 7:00PM.

On Labor Day weekend (September 3-6), there will be a Christian Singles Fellowship Singles Retreat at Camp Jumonville.

The Erie UM Alliance is holding it’s 11^th Annual “Ride for the Refuge” – a bike ride to benefit The Refuge (our emergency shelter for homeless families with children). It will take place on Labor Day, Monday, September 6^th. If you are interested in this event, please see the flyer, registration forms and sponsor sheets on the bulletin board in the narthex.

Visit the Alliance Outreach Ministries. If you’ve never visited our ministries, we invite you to join us on Tuesday, September 14^th from 9AM – 1PM. We’ll meet at Glenwood UMC for a continental breakfast & head out in groups to tour The Refuge, Hope House, Liberty House, Rainbow Connection Thrift Store, and visit with our Outreach workers at one of the downtown parks. We’ll return to the church by noon for lunch. Reservations can be made by email to info@euma-erie.org or by calling 814-456-8073.

Around The Community

The Erie SeaWolves would like to invite our church members to their first Church Bulletin Night on Tuesday, August 31^st at Jerry Uht Park. All you have to do is bring one of your church bulletins to the Box Office Window that evening and it will act as a Buy-One-Get-One coupon.
