Meet the Pastor

Pastor Barbara English

It has been my joy and privilege to serve as pastor of Franklin Center United Methodist Church since July 1, 2000. Since first coming to Franklin Center I have found this congregation to be a warm and caring community of believers, seeking a closer walk with Jesus.

Despite the fact that I grew up a "city girl" I have always loved the country and country churches! When I married my husband I instantly became a dairy farmer. It was a hard life in many ways but in many more ways it was a wonderful life - a life I wouldn't have changed for anything. In 1996 we (my husband, Richard and our three sons, Kevin, Jeff and Brian) gave up dairy farming and soon after that God called me into the ministry. A short time later we began raising Belgian draft horses. I feel very blessed by God to have been called to shepherd both God's people as well as some of what I believe are God's most magnificent creatures.
